Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2:30PM. Eld. Steve Hawkins officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30PM Saturday. Ms. Cobbin now lies in state in the Chapel of the funeral home and may be viewed after 12Noon today.
Ms. Shonda Ray Cobbin was born December 23, 1970 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Ms. Carolyn Cobbin and Mr. Charles Ray Pinson, Sr, and had been a lifelong resident of Flint. She was baptized at Canaan Baptist Church. Shonda received her GED from Mott Adult High School. She was employed at Lake Orion Nursing Home in Pontiac, MI. Shonda was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, and sister. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory: fiance', Ennis Idris Boyd; 2 daughters, Terrionna and T'ionna McKellar; son, Monta Cobbin; parents, Carolyn (Coleman) Brown, Jr., all of Flint, and Charles Ray Pinson, Sr; grandparents, Harry(Minerva) Pinson, all of Memphis, TN, and Wyomia Cobbin; 4 sisters, Wendy Cobbins, Kalia and Janeque Brown, all of Flint, and Paula Bowman of Louisiana; 2 brothers, Jemail Brown and Marice Hutchinson, both of Flint; niece, Mylaca Cobbin; nephew, Devonta Bowman; 5 aunts, Doris Cobbin, Gloria Hudson, and Lyndia (Johnny) Coley, all of Flint, Rosa and Annette Pinson of Memphis, TN; 7 uncles, Willie (Rene), Floyd (Willie), James, and Michael (Pattie) Cobbin, Cornell (Rosemary) Pinson, all of Flint, Herman (Lena) Price of Chicago, IL, and Harry Pinson of Memphis, TN; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including lifelong friends, Trichelle Jackson, Pam Carpenter, and Holly Wilson, godmother, Nancine Jackson of Flint, goddaughter, Krystal Wilson.
