Ruth Allen, 86, of 724 E. Toledo died Monday, July 1, 2002, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

Born Feb. 26, 1916, in Peoria to John and Nellie Scannell Bartram, she married Barton Allen on Dec. 7, 1935, in East Peoria. He died Jan. 3, 1997, in Peoria.

She also was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Surviving are two sons, Ron of Germantown Hills and Larry (and Bonnie) of Peoria Heights; and one daughter, Patricia Wilson of Peoria Heights.

Burial of ashes will be in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
