Esther O. Mrkvicka, 79, of Omaha, formerly of Osceola died Thursday April 9, 1998 at Bergen Mercy Hospital in Omaha.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St Vincent's Catholic church in Osceola. Burial will be in the Osceola Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until after the rosary at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Kepner-Roberts Funeral Home in Osceola.

Mrs. Mrkvicka was born on June 1, 918 at Farwell to Christ and Peta (Petersen) Miller. She attended Midland College, graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln and received her master's degree from UNL.

She was married to Leonard Mrkvicka on June 3, 1946 at Farwell. She was a longtime sixth-grade teacher and elementary principal in Osceola.

She was member of St Vincent's Catholic Church.

She is survived by one sister Mildred (Mrs Raymond) Miller of Aurora.

She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers and one sister
