The following account of the death of Mrs. Flatland is from the Minot, N.D., Daily News: Mrs. Mabel C. Fatland died suddenly at her home in Minot Saturday evening following an attack of heart disease. She was born in Minnesota and had been a resident of Minot for four months.
The remains arrived in Brandon, accompanied by her brother, Theodore Knudson and sister, Mrs. Ludvig Larson of Maxbass, N.D., Tuesday afternoon and were taken to the Hoplin undertaking rooms. Funeral services were held from the Chippewa Lutheran Free church of which the deceased was a member, Thursday afternoon, January 26, at one o'clock; Rev. John Pederson officiating. The pallbearers were four of her brothers: Theodore, Carl, Emil and Robert Knudson and Olof and Clarence Larson. Interment was at the church cemetery.
Mrs. Mabel Fatland was born in Moe township 35 years ago. She was married to Lynn Fatland about seven years ago, and resided at Fargo until last fall when they moved to Minot. Besides her husband, she leaves three children: Pearl, aged 6 years, June, 4 years, and Lynn Theodore, two years; also a daughter, Veryl Magnussen, of a former marriage. Her aged mother, Mrs. Thor Knudson, and four sisters are left to mourn her: Mrs. Ludvig Larson of Maxbass, N.D., Mrs. Ole Carlson, Mrs. Edwin Severson and Mrs. Michael Anderson, and five brothers: Carl, Theodore, Emil and Robert, all of Moe township, and Palmer of Pelican Rapids.
