Mr Richard E Arthur departed this life on Sunday the 14th, in the 87th year of his age, after a brief illness at the home of his daughter, Mrs Nicholas P Terhune. Mr Arthur was a man of regular and careful habits, highly esteemed by his friends and the community, and held in the deepest affection by his children and grand-children. The pastor was assisted by Dr Gaston in the funeral service on the 16th.
