Mrs. Armstrong was a native of Winston County. She was employed as a licensed practical nurse at Tidwell Industries, Dolphin Homes, from 1971 to 1985. Prior to 1971, she worked as a surgical nurse at Wilson's Hospital, Burdick West Memorial Hospital, Haleyville, and Hicks-Bushnell Clinic in Birmingham.

Mrs. Armstrong was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Armstrong; parents, Elisha Crumpton and Lucy Jane Wade Crumpton; four brothers, Jim W. Crumpton, Vernon Wayne Crumpton, Tressie Crumpton and E.J. Crumpton; and one sister, Susan Margie Crumpton Edwards.

Services are Friday, March 17, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Corinth Heights Baptist Church, Haleyville. Burial is at Hillcrest Cemetery, Haleyville.
