Franklin Arnold Hossler, 61, of 222 E. Emerson Street, Princeton, IN died February 5, 1944 at Mercy Hospital in Chicago of complications from colon cancer.

He was born December 2, 1882, the 2nd of seven children to Charles Henry and Fredereka Christina (Karber) Hossler in Karbers Ridge, IL. He married Hazel E. Crawley (divorced) on October 25, 1908 in Putnam County, IN. He was an agent for the Railway Express Agency.

He is survived by a daughter, Eunice (James) Morris; a son Earl (Gradie) Hossler of East Alton, 1 brother; Charles "Dolph" (Ida Mae) Hossler of Harrisburg, IL, 2 sisters; Anna (William) Wilson and Mary Louisa (Fred) Hubbard of Karbers Ridge, 4 grandchildren; Wilma, Earlene, Patricia, and Arnold, all of East Alton, 4 nieces and 2 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; John Frederick Hossler and Louis Hossler, and a sister, Mattie.

Burial is in Maple Hill Cemetery, Princeton, IN.
