Mrs. Katie Lou Alford, 82, of Batesville, died at Tri-Lakes Medical Center in Batesville, MS, on January 12, 2011.
The widow of the late Marvin Alford, she was born in Panola County on January 14, 1928, to the late Jesper and Louise Hopper Peterson . She was a member of McIvor Baptist Church in Batesville.
Mrs. Alford is survived by one son, Billy Alford of Batesville, MS; two daughters, Glenda Reniedo of Baton Rouge, LA, and Shirley Sartin of Batesville, MS; one sister, Peggy Drannon, also of Batesville; four grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 14, 2011 from 5-7 p.m. at Dickins Funeral Home in Batesville, MS.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Dickins Funeral Home Chapel, with burial immediately following in Curtis Union Cemetery, near Batesville.
