Born in Byesville, Ohio, July 24, 1894, he graduated from Ardmore High School and attended Oklahoma A&M College. He served his country overseas eight months during World War I and was a member of the American Legion and the First Presbyterian Church.
He had been employee of Tyler & Simpson Co., for nearly 50 years.
Services are to be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Harvey Funeral Chapel. Bearers include J.T. Nutting, Wilford Black, Guy Givens, Leland Jones, Bill Hayes, and Dale Trotter.
Survivors include his wife, Wilie, of the home; a son, William A., Denver, Colo.; a brother, William W., 310 8th Ave., NW, and a sister, Mary, a teacher in the Ardmore City schools.
