Henrietta Adams was born in Stettin, Prussia, November 16, 1835 and came to America at an early age with her parents,settling in Roscoe.
In 1861 she was united in marriage to E. B. Akeroyd. The couple moved from Roscoe to Illinois following their marriage and from Illinois to Topeka, Kansas, where they resided until the death of Mr. Akeroyd in 1897. Following her husband's death Mrs. Akeroyd came back to Roscoe where she resided until 1911, when she moved to Coshocton.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian church.
