Hannah Boughton was the daughter of Eleazor Boughton and Elizabeth Seymour. She was married to Lt. Nathaniel Gray in 1764, who was killed in 1777 in battle during the Revolution. They had one daughter, Hannah who married Samuel Eells.

Hannah's life disappears after the death of her husband and no amount of research has turned up to enlighten genealogists of her life, whether she remarried or lived alone raising her daughter.

It is believed she moved to Walton, NY with her daughter as that is where her daughter lived as an adult. The cemetery holds numerous Gray and Eells families. Still, that is just speculation.
