THE REV. H.L. BLACKBURN-The Rev. Harold Lee Blackburn, Sr., 63, of 7201 Edgewood boulevard, Shawnee, died today at his home. He had suffered a heart ailment several years. He served the last two and a half years as a pastor of the Central Christian church, 3801 Linwood boulevard,
Born at Kirby, Mo., Mr. Blackwood lived in the Kansas City area 45 years. He completed his religious study at Phillips university, Enid, Okla., and began his ministry in Nebraska.
He held posts in Macksville, Mo; Topeka and Huntsville, Mo.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Neva B. Blackburn of the home; two daughters, Miss Dorothy B. Blackburn and Miss Helen M. Blackburn, both of the home; two sons, Dr. Harold L. Blackburn, Jr., and Franklin D. Blackburn, both of Topeka; two brothers, Clyde Blackburn, 915 East Seventy-sixth Terrace and Samuel Blackburn, Mexico, Mo., and two grandchildren. (Src:
