She was the daughter of Charles C. & Kizzie (Apple) Whitefield. She was married to Daniel Harvey Abney who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by a son, James Alton Abney in 1943 and a grandson Michael in 1974. She was a member of the Clubb Springs Baptist Church for many years. Survived by a daughter and son, 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters.
