Virginia was born to George Owens and Josiephine Gloyd. She married George Dobbs on Dec 15, 1925 (he died in 1977).
Virginia was very close to her family. She and George bought a home in Macomb, Illinois, and lived for a few years next door to both her parents and her sister, Fern Owens Pollock (married to Herb Pollock). After their mother's death, Fern and Virginia moved their families into one home on the three lots, and expanded it to accommodate both families. Neither sister had children that I know of, and I knew them much of their lives as my great-aunts.
