Thomas A. Brown, 65, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at CLC of Altoona. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Private family burial will be held.
Thomas was born in Omaha, NE, resided in Waterloo for some time and lived most of his life in Des Moines. He was a math teacher for the Des Moines schools and DMACC and also an employee of Des Moines Lumber. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, NEA, DMEA and ISEA.
He is survived by his sons, Brian Brown (Robin) of Plattsmouth, NE, Mark Brown of Boulder, CO, and Craig Brown (Lynnette) of Bitburg, Germany; daughter, Christine Bageant (Jeff) of Lonoke, AK; brother, Don Brown (Gayleen) of Lake in the Hills, IL; grandsons, Joseph and Jonathan Brown of Plattsmouth, NE, and Lindsay and Courtney Brown of Bitburg, Germany; ex-wife, Donna Brown; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Brown and parents.
Memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday evening at Westover Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
