ELIZABETH LIBBY HEARD WARE Memorial services for Elizabeth "Libby" Heard Ware will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home at 4:00 pm, with a visitation following the service. She died Sunday, November 09, 2014 at her residence. She was born September 23, 1926 in Birmingham, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband Lamar M. Ware, of 57 years, and her parents Carrie H. Heard and Arthur Zellars Heard of Birmingham, AL. She is survived by two sons, Lamar Robert Ware of Columbus, GA and Ronnie Heard Ware and wife Tina of Auburn; two grandsons Brock Pelman Ware and Dac Lamar Ware. She attended Auburn University where she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and is a Life Member of the Auburn Alumni Association. In 1946 she and Lamar founded Ware Jewelers where she worked with him for 53 years being responsible for the Bridal Department. She was a member of Auburn First Baptist Church since 1946 and belonged to the Mary Martha Sunday School Class. She belonged to the Village Gardeners and served on the board of the Lee County Humane Society for several years. In lieu of flowers the family will appreciate contributions to your favorite charity.
