Miss Bertha E. Aberle, 55, veteran Carlisle school teacher, died yesterday at the home of a friend, Mrs. David Ilgenfritz, R.D.1. Funeral Friday, 2 p.m., Allison Methodist Church, Carlisle. Survivors, brother, William Aberle, missionary to Central America, now residing at Managua, Nicaragua; several cousins. Miss Aberle, the daughter of William and Mary Aberle, Mt. Holly Springs, was graduated from Carlisle High School in 1898 and attended Dickinson College. She first served as a substitute teacher in the Carlisle schools in 1900 and became a regular teacher in February 1903. She taught for many years the third grade in the Penn building. She was a member of Allison Methodist Church.
