MRS. JULIA GARBUTT.

LAKEFIELD,Aug. 31-(ENS) - A resident of Lak- efield for 37 years,with the rest of her life spent in Smith township,Mrs. Julia Garbutt,for- merly Julia McIlmoyle,was buried in Lakefield Cemetery Tuesday.

Held from the Tedford Funeral Home,the ser- vice was conducted by Rev. L.M. Sharpe of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church,was largely attended. Mrs. Garbutt died at her home following a month’s illness,and she was in her 88th year.

The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nathan McIlmoyle,Mrs. Garbutt is survived by three sons,Bruce of Lakefield,Wade of Los Angeles, Cal.,W.C. Garbutt of Vancouver,and by a brother,J. McIlmoyle of Peterborough. Also surviving are a sister,Mrs. N. Nicholls of Peterborough,nine grandchildren,and one great-granddaughter.

Mrs. Garbutt,whose husband died 12 years ago,was a devoted member of the Presby- terian Church,and attended St. Andrew’s Church here for many years.

Pall-bearers were: Allan Clark,Norman Moore, Theodore Nicholls,H. Clarke Garbutt,W.C. Garbutt,and W. Fairburn.
