Charlie E. Jackson passed away in a Madera Convalescent Hospital at the age of 84. Born and raised in Sulphur, Oklahoma, where he received his education, he later served in the U.S. Army in the Aleutian Islands. Following his military service Mr. Jackson relocated to California where he was involved in the Cotton industry having been affiliated with Anderson Clayton Cotton Co. for many years on the west side. He later was a seed specialist with Northrup King Seed Co. for 17 years. He was a resident of San Joaquin from 1955 until 1965 when he moved to Madera where he was an active member of Sunset Avenue Church of Christ. In his leisure time he enjoyed the game of golf and spending time in his garden. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years Faye, in January 2001.

He is survived by his daughter, Carol Dipple and her husband Byron of Madera. He is the brother of Archie W. Jackson of Hazen, NV., Wayne A. Jackson of Hawthorne NV.,and Martie Mandery of Fallon, NV. He is the beloved grandfather of Stacey Hendrickson of Merced, CA. and Erica Jackson and her husband Ethan Jackson of Madera.

Visitation in Jay Chapel. Funeral Service also in Jay Chapel, with interment at Arbor Vitae Cemetery.
