William “Bill” H. Worthington, Sr., age 90 of the Rowlett/Garland area, passed away November 11, 2014, in Mesquite, TX. He was born December 17, 1923, in Lenor County, NC, to William B. & Bertha (Letchworth) Worthington. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Navy in WWII. He married Mildred Louise Hartsell on February 21, 1942, in Brooklyn, NY. Bill worked as an electrical engineer for the Navy in civil service. He was a Master Mason and member of the Mike H. Thomas Lodge, No., 1314 – A.F. & A.M. Bill was a charter member of Monica Park Christian Church.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, November 15, 2014, at Monica Park Christian Church, 2600 Broadway Blvd, Garland, TX, Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service on Saturday from 12:00 to 1:00pm.
