Born July 24, 1924, in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Clarence and Roselle Diffenderfer Haverstock.
He married Betty J. Zweizig on July 24, 1943.
Prior to retiring, he was a security guard for Mack Trucks Inc., Hagerstown, Md., for 17 years. Mr. Haverstock had been self employed, repairing vacuums out of his home in Chambersburg.
A U.S. Army verteran, he served during World War II.
He attended the First Assembly of God Church, Greencastle.
In addition to his wife, surviving are two sons, Michael C. and Gregory L., both of chambersburg; a daughter, Kathy A. Vaughn of Chambersburg; three grandchildren; and a sister, June Martin of Chambersburg.
Two brothers preceded him in death.
