Services for Narciso E. "Bo" Abella, 95, Lawrence, Kan., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Redemptorist Fathers Catholic Church here with the Rev. Greg Schmitt officiating. Entombment will be at Mount Olivet Mausoleum, Raytown.
Mr. Abella died Tuesday, May 3, 1994, at Brandon Woods Retirement Community.
He was born Oct. 29, 1898, at Cebu, the Philippines, the son of Laurano and Angelina Enriquez Abella.
Mr. Abella was a 1932 graduate of Kansas University with a degree in architecture. He had been employed as an architect with the federal General Services Administration.
He had lived in the Kansas City and Lawrence area since 1988. He retired in 1973.
Mr. Abella was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Corps of Military Engineers and the Kansas University Alumni Association.
He had been a major in the Philippine army and had survived the Bataan Death March of World War II.
Survivors include: a son, Henry, Newnan, Ga.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
His wife, Lottie, died in July 1993.
