Carolyn Akins is the most wonderful woman I know, even though she is my mother, she is also my best friend. At the time of her death she was survived by husband, Loyd Akins, children Steve and his children Kyle and Kris, Deborah, her husband Phillip and their children Crystal and Quent, Laura and her husband Bruce and their children Dustin and Heath, Elaine and her husband Mitch and their children Miranda and Trent and Brenda and her children Amy and Austin. Since her passing she has two great-grandchildren Carson and Aiden and a new grandson-in-law, Michael and a wonderful new son-in-law Roy Dale who also brought two children into our family, John and Zachary.
Her granddaughter, Amy, joined her (July 9, 1985-March 17, 2006).
