She was born June 12, 1928, in Bethel to Ulysses and Maggie (Hutchins) Hart.
She was a Bethel High School graduate.
She married Michael Rakovan on July 26, 1947, in Reno, Nev.
Rakovan retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. after 30 years.
She lived most of her life in the Shawnee and Bethel areas.
Preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters, Dortha Chancellor and Loretta Farris, and two brothers, Richard and Floyd Hart.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Rakovan of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Kittie Rakovan of Raleigh, N.C.; daughter, Linda Rakovan, and her fiancÈ, Michael Shadaram, of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Rick and Chris Rakovan of Shawnee and Evan Rakovan of North Carolina; brother, James Hart of Shawnee; five sisters, Velma Coffman and Shirley Slaten, both of Shawnee, Marjorie Coffin of Toledo, Ohio, Janet Joyce of Wall, S.D., and Barbara Vickers of Odessa, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Paul Calmes officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
