Madeline Pedersen 1921-2011
Madeline Elizabeth (Adams) Pedersen, daughter of the late Jens Madsen Adams and the late Sophie Amanda (Petersen) Adams and wife of the late Paul Henry Petersen and the late Ole Pedersen, passed away on March 9, 2011 at Tobique Valley Manor, Plaster Rock.
She is survived by her daughter Dwaine Cornell (Brian), and son Leslie Petersen (Rhea), grandchildren, Craig Cornell (Jasmine), Kirk Cornell, Troy Petersen (Lisa), Evan Petersen (Nicole), Erin Kinny (Jason), great grandchildren, Alex and Ethan Petersen, Dawson and Morgan Kinny and Neelah Cornell, sister Reta Goodine (Robert), sister-in-law Anne Adams, sisters-in-law Kate McNally, Greta Hansen and Esther Kennedy (Vince) and nephews and nieces, many of whom she was very close to and who visited tante Mag often in her last difficult months.
Besides her parents and late husbands, she was predeceased by brothers Gilbert Adams and Christen Adams and sister Velma Mockler, brothers-in-law Alfred Mockler and Herluf Pedersen.
Anglican by faith, her family and friends, her church, and the danish community of New Denmark were the important things that made up her life.
Her funeral service was held Monday, March 14th at 2 p.m. from St. Ansgar's Anglican Church, New Denmark with Rev. Robert Leblanc officiating. The organist was Sonja Petersen and hymns selected were "How Great Thou Art", "Amazing Grace" and "Because He lives". Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements are by O'Regan's Funeral Home, Grand Falls.
