Date of Birth was hard to come by- couldn't figure out how someone could name their child after the Confederate president a full 10 years before there was a Confederacy- also he was listed in most census' as being born apprx 1862.

Had trouble tracking his parents. Finally figured out his father was Evan L Bryant who married Marzilla Perry 7 Mar 1858. Evan died between 1862 and 1869. His wife is the same Marzilla Perry who married B C Bartley Calthorp 25 Jan 1870; while her sons show up in the 1870 census with her parents Claborne and Zilphia Perry.
