Adam Christopher Baines – of Chattanooga, passed away at his residence Sunday afternoon, August 28, 2005. He grew up in Athens, Tenn. where he attended McMinn County High School and was also a graduate of East Tennessee State University. He was a member of Allen Memorial United Methodist Church in Athens, Tenn. and attended Cross Point Community Church in Ringgold, Ga. He was an avid Tennessee football fan.
Survivors include his wife, Leah H. Baines; parents, mother and step father, Karen and David Perry of Athens, Tn; father and step mother, Todd and Janice Baines of Athens, Tn.; brother and sister in law, Greg and Lynnette Baines, of Athens, Tn.; grandparents, John and Louise Baines of Sweetwater, Tenn. also Bud and Marie Sipe of Athens, Tn.; Father and Mother in law, Ron and Glenda Haggard of Chattanooga, Tn., several aunts, uncles and cousins. Adam was loved and adored by all his nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:30 in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. Ron Tankersley officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Athens, Tenn. at 2 pm Wednesday afternoon.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the funeral home.
