Elsie was born to Rufus Henry LeFavour and Emma Augusta Frost. She spent her youth in her home state of Massachusetts before relocating to California later in life.
Elsie spent her adult life entertaining through Vaudeville shows her her son Gordon. Late in life Elsie married Harold Aldrich and with him raised her eldest grandson Kenneth Ford Clough.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, sister Grace, husband Harold, and grandson Tracy Clough. She was survived by her sister Emily and brother Irving, daughter Violet, grandsons Kenneth, Gordon, and Richard Clough, as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
