Mahanoy City

Andrew Hoppes, senior member of the firm, A.&D.M. Hoppes, died here on Sunday, aged 68 years and 7 months. The deceased was one of the most prominent business men and respected citizens of this place and for a number of years was a leading member of the Evangelical Church.

Died

HOPPES--On the 19th inst., at Mahanoy City, Andrew Hoppes, aged 68 years and 7 months. Funeral will take place on Thursday, 23rd, inst., at 10 a.m. from the late residence, corner of Centre and Third Streets. Services will take place in the Evangelical Church. Proceed by special train at 2 p.m. to Tamaqua, where interment will be made in the Odd Fellows' Cemetery. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
