OSCAR R. HOUPT of Mapleville died at his home Monday morning at 10 o'clock of heart trouble after an illness of one week, aged 55.
The son of the late Cornelius and Amanda Stottlemyer Houpt, he was born at Mt. Lena.
Surviving are: Wife, Mrs. Beatrice Houpt; daughters, Mrs. Hilda Hines, near Boonsboro, and Mrs. Howard Wilkerson, near Keedysville; sons, Ray, Mapleville; Russell, at home; sisters, Mrs. Vergie Reese, Funkstown; Mrs. Irving Stottlemyer, Mt. Lena, and Mrs. Hubert Dutrow, Beaver Creek; brothers, Alvey, Oregan, Ill., and Harvey, Mt. Lena; and four grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Bast funeral home at Boonsboro where funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Frank L. Stine. Burial will be in the Beaver Creek cemetery.
