My sister Doris was the most loving and caring person in the world. She never failed to help anyone that needed anything. She was a Marine Corp Vet and lived life to the fullest. Her sense of humor was never ending as she loved pulling pranks and making people laugh. Doris was in a terrible car accident in the early 70's and lay in a coma for months. The doctors had given up and said if she came out of the coma, she would have brain damage, never to walk or talk again. But the Lord had other plans. Doris came out of the coma, but was paralized on her left side. Still, she had the determination to walk, talk and even drive again. After months of rehab, she did them all. She never gave up and had such faith in herself and the Lord. In 1998, she was diognosed with cancer. She fought long and hard, but this was one battle she didn't win. The Lord knew how much she had suffered throughout her life and decided to ease her pain and called her home. All my life I would hear Doris say that she would die on her birthday. I don't know how she knew this, but it was true. At the age of 51, she passed away on her birthday. Still today, it's sometimes hard for me to realize that she's really gone. I am so thankful for our sister Judy that took such good care of Doris through this terrible battle. I could never show Judy the gratitude that she deserves for being our angel.

Doris Aree, We all miss & love you so much. We know that in heaven you are no longer paralized. You are running, playing with the children there. We will all be together someday in heaven.
