Donald Edward “Eddie” Harvey, 61, of Hinton formerly of Cleveland, OH went home to be with the Lord Monday November 17, 2014 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born February 19, 1953 at Cleveland, OH he was the son of the late Donald A. and Alma C. Lilly Harvey.

Eddie was a member of the Cornerstone Family Church in Princeton, Veteran of the United States Army, former member of the laborers union for 13 years on a dynamite blasting crew in construction and an independent contractor for Outsource Marketing for past 14 years. He enjoyed thrill seeking from riding rollercoasters, parasailing, motorcycles, fishing and hunting.

Preceded in death by his son, Chance Harvey; sister, Beverly Martin and niece, Karrie Barnes.

Survived by his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth “Liz” Harvey of Hinton; daughter, Brittany Harvey Cochran and husband T.J. of Hinton; granddaughter, Emily “Emmie” Cochran of Hinton; five siblings, Susan Weikle and husband Danny of Leatherwood, Karolyn Underwood of North Carolina, James Harvey of Leatherwood, Mary Price and husband Ferris of Madison and Mike Harvey and wife Kellen of Meadow Creek and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Friday November 21, 2014 at the Cornerstone Family Church in Princeton with Pastor Scott Catron officiating. Interment will follow at a later date.
