Bernard John Horniak, age 90, was called safely home on Sunday, November 16, 2014. He was born in Webster, MA on August 27, 1924. He was a Corporal in the United States Army during World War II, serving as a Camera Technician. Bernard had worked as a Master Electrician for Hano Business Forms, retiring after 24 years. He leaves his beloved wife and best friend of 39 years, Susan (Brogle) Horniak; three sons: David, James and his wife Dina, and Leonard and his wife Maureen; two brothers: John and his wife Helene of SC, and Edward and his wife Nancy of NH; one sister, Eugenia Scott of FL; several grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Susan would like to thank Baystate Hospice for their care and compassion during this very difficult time, and her sisters, Nan and Cindy, who helped care for Bernard during his last days. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 19, at 10:00 A.M. at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Baystate Hospice, 50 Maple Street, P.O. Box 9059, Springfield, MA 01102. The Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
