DONALD L. COKELEY
The funeral services for Donald L. Cokeley, 75, will be at the Hawley Baptist Church, Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. with the Revs. Les Nikkel and Gary Lillie officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.
Don was born to Lewis and Nellie Munkres Cokeley and graduated from Enid High School in 1948.
He enlisted in the Oklahoma National Guard in September 1947 and served in the Korean War. He continued to work for the Oklahoma National Guard, where he served as a Property Book Officer until 1986. He received numerous decorations during his period of service. He served 19 years as a Nescatunga Volunteer Firefighter and First Responder. He was inducted into the Alfalfa County Hall of Fame in November 1998.
Don and Maida Franke were married July 15, 1950.
Don is survived by his wife, Maida of Jet; son Larry and wife Janet of Nash; two granddaughters, Jenna and Laura of Nash; and one sister, Mary Johnson of Enid.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Memorials may be made to the Nescatunga Rural Fire Department or the Hawley Baptist Church with the funeral home acting as custodians of the fund.
