Born in Bethlehem, PA, on August 11, 1931, Carl was the son of George and Bernice Northrup Beattie.
He lived in the McGraw area for most of his life where he worked for the McGraw Box Company for over 40 years. His favorite hobbies were model airplanes, and his collection of country and bluegrass records and CD’s.
He is survived by his brother, James (Carol) Beattie and Leon (Nancy) Beattie, all of McGraw; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brothers, Laurence, Rodney, and Rockwell Beattie; and a sister, Frances Higgins.
Funeral services will be held at the Barth Funeral Home, McGraw, NY, on Friday, October 31, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend David Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in East Homer Cemetery.
The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service at 11:00 a.m.
