Deceased Name: George L. Holder, 87
BELLEVIEW -- George L. Holder, 87, a retired Belleview Elementary School principal, died Monday, June 3, 2002, at home.
A native of Santa Fe, he moved here from Alachua County in 1941. Mr. Holder was a member of First Baptist Church of Summerfield and Gideons International. He was a retired teacher and school administrator for Marion County School System. Mr. Holder, an ordained deacon, was active in prison ministry at the Marion County Jail and Juvenile Detention Center.
Survivors include his wife, Janice D. Holder, Belleview; sons, Larry B. Holder, Murphy, N.C., Lamar W. Holder, Belleview and Daniel H. Holder, Fletcher, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
