Maxine P. (Edwards) Sands
Our dear mother, Maxine Sands departed this world on angels wings, early August 27, 2016 following an extended illness. Maxine was born in Kingwood, West Virginia the youngest daughter of the late James B. and Effie P. Dewitt on August 5, 1932. Maxine was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Christmas and summer gatherings when her youngest, Bill and family came home from Arizona were her favorites but each time her family was near was special.
Left to cherish her memory are husband Earl Sands, her children Mike (Pam) Edwards, Debbie Edwards, Sherry (Rob) Blankenship, Jerry (Debbie) Edwards, Doug (Sarah) Edwards and Bill (Aimee) Edwards, grandchildren Shane (Ali), Peter, Samantha (Lonnie), Brandon, Kyle, Collin, Jesse, Reese, Dustin (Brittany), Bret, Benjamin and Juliana. Maxine is also survived by the father of her children Bill (Millie) Edwards of Stow, Ohio, beloved sister Betty Brown of Weirton, WV. and brother-in-law Ken Travis of Inverness, Fla. as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to join the family on Wednesday August 31, 2016 at Wood Kortright Borkoski Funeral Home 703 E Main Street Ravenna, Ohio, 44266 for visitation from 11:00am - 12:30pm, with the funeral service, officiated by Pastor Kim Barnett to begin at 12:30pm. Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery immediately following service.
