Conrad Heid, age 72, lifetime resident of the Davenport area, passed away at the farm home Monday, Nov 6, 1970. Mr Heid was born March 9, 1899, to Mr and Mrs George Heid on the farm 10 miles north of Davenport. He and Mollie Cook were married March 24, 1923. Mr Heid was active in community affairs. He had served as a director on the Davenport School Board, the Davenport Grange Supply, Lincoln Electric Cooperative and the Odessa Union Warehouse. He was a member and past Master of Community Grange. He also was past Master of Lincoln County Pomona Grange. As a youth he attended the Heid School and joined the Larene Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church. The Rev Roger Muisiner will officiate. Survivors include his wife, Mollie; a son, Melvin Heid of Long Beach, CA; a daughter, Thelma Gunning, Azusa, CA; one brother, Elmer Heid, Spokane; two sisters, Mrs Bertha Simmons, Sumner, WA; and Mrs Anna Lightbody, Berkley, CA."
