Celestine Bentley Greene, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 17, 2014. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Noon at Green Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. Clifford Little officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Ms. Greene was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Willa B. Mallory and the late Robert Driskell. She was preceded in death by her son, James Alvin "Craig" Greene, II. Celestine gave her life to Christ and was baptized at a young age at Lizzie Chapel Baptist Church. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Eastern Star. She was retired from the Hamilton Plaza Nursing Home in Passaic, NJ and worked as a waitress with Woolworths in Macon, GA. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and friend to all.
