Mrs. Dollie McKown died last night at Burnham hospital after an extended illness. She was the wife of William McKown residing at 610 East Vine street. Mrs. McKown was born in Pottersdam, N. Y., November 12, 1862. She was the mother of Thomas McKown, the young soldier who died at Camp Grant on April 23. The funeral services will be held Friday mornong. Interment will be made in Rantoul.

Mrs. Dollie McKown died at 9:30 Tuesday night at the Burnham hospital. She was born in 1863 in Potsdam, N.Y., and was 53 years of age. She leaves three sons, Arthur, Charles and Teddy all of Champaign and three daughters, Mrs. Lulu Jeffries, Clinton; Mrs. Lillian Miller, Champaign and Mrs.Myrtle Siefman, Centralia.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 o'clock Friday morning, at Mrs. McKown's request at the Sturdyvin funeral parlors on West Hill street and the body will be taken to the Maplewood cemetery north of Rantoul for burial. The trip will be made in a special car on the K & U. T. leaving Hill and Neil streets at 10 o'clock.

Adella/Della/Dollie was the daughter of Jacob Lewis Broeffle (1826-1907) and Nancy A. Reynolds Broeffle (1829-____). Both of them may have died in IA, but they are burials unknown. Some members of the family apparently used the spelling Breffle.
