Although he died in New York, the remains were shipped to Pennsylvania, for burial in the GAR plot at Wildwood Cemetery at Williamsport. He lived in Williamsport for a number of years prior to his death.
The ceremony was under the auspices of the Reno Post No. 64, GAR.
"Pennsylvania Veterans Burial cards" show that he was buried in the G.A.R Soldiers Circle on the 8th August 1888.
Widow Anna, applied for pension in April 1887, and received one - number 384839.
