He is preceded in death by his parents, J.B. Sr. and Edna (Holbrook) Adams; brother, Charles Edward Adams; and son, Kenneth William Adams.
His survivors include his wife, Shirley (Wagner) Adams; son, Jesse Adams, III; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the American Legion Cemetery, Appalachia, Va.
A memorial service will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central Ohio Diabetes Association, 1100 Dennison Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43201.
