Eleanore G. Jacobson, age 92, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, died Saturday afternoon, Sept. 18, 2004 at the nursing home.

Eleanore was born on July 11, 1912, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine McNulty Brady. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1930. Eleanore then graduated from Manitowoc County Normal and obtained her teaching diploma. On Oct. 28, 1940, she married Raymond A. Jacobson at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2002. Eleanore was a member of St. Theresa Society of St. Andrew Catholic Church.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Mary Ellen and Roger Strzyzewski, Manitowoc; Monica and Dennis Klosinski, Manitowoc; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Jim and Marilyn Jacobson, Manitowoc; Paul and Jan Jacobson, Manitowoc; Charles Jacobson, Manitowoc; 10 grandchildren: Mark Strzyzewski and his fiance Michelle Klegan, Chris (Chanda) Strzyzewski, Craig Strzyzewski, Steve (Rhonda) Jacobson, Sarabeth (Steve) Meyer, Ron (Renee) Jacobson, Kathi (Paul) Hoffman, Katie, Kevin and Jarred Klosinski, nine great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Lindsey and Emily Strzyzewski, Samantha and Zachary Jacobson, Andrew, Camille and Clarice Jacobson, Veronica Hoffman; family friends: Karen Jacobson, Manitowoc; Mary Ann Krueger, Greenleaf; sisters-in-law: Louise Brady, Manitowoc and Arlene Rognlein, Corvallis, Ore. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a son: Thomas; a daughter: Elizabeth; two grandsons: Michael and Scott; two sisters, Mary Claire Brady and Agnes Brady and three brothers, George Brady, Francis Brady and Joseph Brady.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Camillus Janas O.F.M. with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc, from 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, until the time of service at 10:30 a.m.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center for their care and compassion they showed towards Eleanore.
