Harry Henry Thiede (April 4, 1919 - November 20, 2014), 95, of Fredericksburg, VA, passed away November 20, 2014. He was born in Richmond Hill, New York the son of the late Sarah Ann Thompson and August Thiede.

He was predeceased by his wife, Frances Radcliff Thiede and son Richard Dennis Thiede. He was a retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer and a member of Peace United Methodist Church in Fredericksburg, where he was active in the food pantry ministry. He was a Mason for 67 years and a member of the Escambia Masonic Lodge #15 in Pensacola, FL. He was also a Boy Scout leader for over 15 years and attended the National Jamboree in 1956. For many years Harry and Frances lived in Virginia Beach.

Harry is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Thiede and Butch Range of Fredericksburg, VA; and daughter-in-law, Peggy E. Thiede of Suffolk, VA; 3 grandchildren, Geoffery Range, Shelley Thiede Joyner and husband Jonathan, and Erik N. Thiede and wife Andria; and 1 great grandchild Jayce A. Joyner.

A graveside funeral service with full military honors was held Monday, December 1, 2014, at Albert G. Horton, Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery with the Rev. Brad Phillips officiating.

Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, Suffolk, VA, served the family.

A memorial service will be held at Peace United Methodist Church at a later date.
