The body lay in state at the church from 10 o'clock in the morning until the time of the services. Burial was in the Luana Westside cemetery.
Mrs. Collins died Tuesday afternoon, June 9, at the Postville hospital after an illness of six months.
She was born a daughter of John and Augusta (Engelhardt) Krambeer in South Dakota, Jan. 10, 1886. She was brought to Clayton county when 2 years old; she received her education in the schools of Wagner township.
In her younger days, she worked for several years in a store at Britt and later worked in a store at Luana. She was a member of the Luana Methodist church and the Woman's Society of Christian Service.
She was married to Roger (sic) Lyman Collins, Feb. 1, 1921, at Owatonna, Minn. They came to live at Luana after their marriage.
She was attached to her family, and took care of her mother, an aunt, and later her brother, Henry Krambeer.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband who died Dec. 11, 1933, and two grandchildren, Kim Alan and Holly Dee Collins, children of Robert Collins.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Rex (Margaret Mae) Hinman of Arlington, Va.; three sons, Eugene and Robert of Luana and Carlton of Postville; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Landt of Owatonna, Minn., and Mrs. Harry (Bertha) Koth of Bradenton, Fla; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Adrian Riveland, Lorenz Doerring, Donald McShane, Merrill Baade, Harvey Landt, and Arthur Wolter.
