Husband of MAY D. (ADAMS) ADEY.

Son of JOHN WILLIAM ADEY and ANN (CREARY)ADEY.

Grandson of JOHN STRONG ADEY and MARY (BARKER)ADEY.

He had two brothers Matthew Henry and John Nicholas and one sister Pearl Ann (Johnston).

In Aug. 25,1906 he married MAY D. ADAMS in Hocking,Iowa.

Together they had nine children:
Everett J.,
Charlie H.
Daniel, stillborn.
Paul A.,
Edward J.,
Lois Mae, died at 22 days of age.
living daughter,
Leslie C.,
living daughter.

After their marriage they moved to Perry, Iowa.
The also lived in Elgin and Savannah, Illinois, Yankton, So. Dakota and Bovie, Minnesota.

About 1940 the family moved to Roseville, CA. where Joe work for the Railroad.

All the children followed settling in various parts of California.
