Daughter of John and Ciara (Carmarco) DiTommaso.

Wife of Gaetano "Gene" L. Bisol.

FHS class of '39.

Entered the U.S. Army Nurse Corps in January 1943.

According to her obituary:

From 1943 - 1945, she served in England and North Africa. Due to her fluency in Italian, she cared for wounded Italian POWs as well as American casualties in North Africa. Like most of the Greatest Generation, she was justly, but humbly proud of her military service and her Nation. After the war, Gerry left the Army as a 1st Lieutenant and came home to Massachusetts.

She was featured in a book titled Ordinary People, Extraordinary Lives: The Stories of Nurses.
