Count of Namur. Born the oldest son of Guy I de Flandre and his second wife Isabella of Luxembourg. He succeeded his father as Count of Namur in 1297 but Guy retained the title Margrave of Namur until his death. His short marriage with Marguerite de Clermont remained childless. He married secondly Marie de Artois who bore him eleven children.
