Olene L. Putman Sadler, age 70, died Sunday, May 14, 1995 in the Shamrock General Hospital.
Mrs. Sadler was born April 4, 1920 in Leedey, OK to Lawrence and Mable Basler. She grew up in the Moorewood area and also lived in Cheyenne and Leedy before moving to California. She married Gene Putnam on January 22, 1944 in Sayre and they lived in California until 1946 when they moved back to Sayre. Gene Putman died in 1973. Olene married Gerald Sadler on June 17, 1977. In 1994 the couple entered the Care Inn of shamrock due to failing health.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, four sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include her husband; Gerald; three sons, bill Putman of Sayre; Larry Putman of Wellington and Bobby Putman of Amarillo; one daughter, Penny Goodman of Russell, PA; three sisters, Ora Laswell of Clinton, OK; Oma Martin of Henderson, NV and Geraldine Warren of Elk City, OK; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
