James and Joshua were captured at Dunn’s Lake, Fl., February 5th, 1865, sent to Andersonville Prison, GA., both were paroled April 21, 1865. Joshua was returning to Connecticut in June 1865 with Capt. C. Fred Betts, Co. F, via Ohio when he became ill and died at Marine General Hospital, Cincinnati on June 21st.
All are buried in Norwalk Union except Charles W. who’s buried Spring Grove cemetery, Darien, CT.
